I was going through my rather extensive library at home, and found a 1983 book titled Making Wooden Banks by Harvey E. Helm. In the book is a neat pattern for a wood bank, made to look like an old-fashioned TV.  

I entered the plan into Google Sketchup:

Once I get caught up on my back-log of projects, I plan on making a couple of these. I will use oak for the main frame and maple for the screen border and two knobs. I will use Padauk for the red speaker.  It should look pretty cool
