I tackled the cat in its house pattern in the book Scroll Saw Workbook. You set your saw at 3 degrees with left side down and follow the pattern. 

The 3 degree angle allows you to slightly move one cut piece from another. The angle and direction of cut determine whether the piece slides out or in.  Here is my finished relief:

 Pretty neat trick!
