I keep an inventory of red oak, maple, padauk, purple heart, and yellow heart wood in my workshop.  My storage method is not very organized, and is difficult to clean with the shop vac.

I decided to design and make a portable cart or carrier that holds my common inventory of hard woods using Google Sketchup.  I had some scrap plywood for the base and shelf.  I decided to use 1x4 pine and Kreg pocket screws to make the cart.

Closing Thoughts:

I really like this cart.  Everything is more organized, and I can quickly tell if I need to restock my inventory.  A fun project that took about 4 hours.
