The ancestors of the Dale C. Maley family came from County Mayo, Ireland to Maysville, Kentucky. The last name of the two brothers who came from Ireland was O'Maley. Within a couple generations, the families of both brothers dropped the "O" and changed their name to Maley. This web site traces our ancestors back to County Mayo in Ireland.

You can also go to Ancestry.com and look for Dale's "Maley family tree". He has traced both the Maley and Dameron family as far back in history as possible.

If anyone, has any better history of the O'Maleys in Ireland, please send me an email.  We have been unable to clearly track the family back into Ireland. We have data on the two brothers who emigrated to Kentucky, but details are sketchy on  their parents in Ireland.
